HemoSim - Flow-induced hemolysis in blood-carrying medical devices - a data-based mechanistic approach

The overall goal of the project is to investigate standardized methods for the prediction of hemolysis in blood-carrying medical devices. The project focuses on flow-induced damage of red blood cells, since despite decades of research, no quantitatively valid models exist to date.
