Doctoral Thesis in Spring 2019

We congratulate Mrs. Sonya Bhavsar, Mr. Peter Schlanstein and Mr. Felix Wald on passing their PhDs!

On January 14th, 2019 Mr. Peter Schanstein gave his doctoral lecture on the topic "Carbon Monoxide - Useful to Deadly, the Concentration Makes the Difference". Afterwards he passed his exam as Dr.-Ing. with the topic "Experimental and Numerical Investigations of Anisotropic Permeabilities in Blood Oxygenators".

2 days later, on January 16th, 2019, Mr. Felix Wald gave his doctoral lecture on the topic "The Artificial Lung - Support and Replacement of Lung Function". This was also followed by an examination as a Dr.-Ing. on the subject of "Methodology for Lifetime Examination of the Membrane of a Pulsatile Artificial Heart".

Mrs. Bhavsar passed her examination as Dr. rer. medic. with the topic "Advanced Numerical Blood Flow Field Analysis in Medical Devices".

Mr. Schlanstein is still working at the CVE. Mrs. Bhavsar and Mr. Wald have been working in the industry for a while now.
