Digital compass automates clinical literature search with KI.
The explanatory video shows in 2 min. how it works.
Due to the new MDR (Medical Device Regulation), manufacturers of medical devices are under pressure. Requirements for placing already approved and new medical devices on the market have increased significantly. Thus, valuable working time has to be invested in researching clinical knowledge.
A new type of tool with artificial intelligence, the Digital Compass, relieves companies of questions about clinical information and thus saves many hours of manual research. In our explanatory video, we show how the whole thing works in a way that everyone can understand in just two minutes.
The Digital Compass is a tool to facilitate orientation of companies in the clinical evaluation for existing or to-be-developed medical devices. The procedure provides the user with information in the form of studies, publications, institutions and contacts based on previously defined key data. These must be provided in advance, and the Digital Compass does the rest of the work.
To ease the burden on companies, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia is promoting the development of support measures in the MDR-Support@NRW project (https://mdr-support.nrw/).
MDR-Support@NRW is an information and knowledge platform that provides up-to-date information and facts on legal regulations, nationally and internationally involved authorities, experts, consultants and other stakeholders along the approval process of a medical device or in vitro diagnostic.
