My research interest lies in the numerical modeling of biological systems for cardiovascular and cardiopulmonary applications. I focus on different methods ranging from continuum biomechanics over system level modeling up to data-centered approaches to develop translational models for clinic and industry. My ultimate aim is to develop computational tools in order to facilitate the uptake of in silico medicine.
