BioTex - Dr. Alicia Fernández Colino winner of the BMBF Young Scientists Competition “NanoMatFutur''
Alicia Fernández Colino has been selected winner of the BMBF Young Scientists Competition “NanoMatFutur”.
With this funding grant of 1.85 million euros, Dr. Fernández Colino will set up her own independent junior research group at BioTex (Uniklinik RWTH Aachen University).
The project embodies a material-driven innovation that encompasses polymer development, bioprocessing, tissue engineering and implant development. The biomimetic implants produced within this project are expected to bring significant progress in this field and lead to a new generation of clinically relevant substitutes.
