Gender and DiversityCopyright: Faculty of Medicine
To ensure RWTH's competitive ability and future viability, gender and diversity politics play a significant role, aside from profiling, quality assurance, and the promotion of young talents.
For the Faculty of Medicine gender and diversty mean to appreciate diversity and implement it as a strategy for success. Recognition and promotion of different genders, backgrounds, perspectives, and talents lead to higher productivity and effectiveness. A corresponding human resources policy enriches scientific creativity and performance capability.
Gender and diversity is a unified process, which views the diversity of all humans as a chance and potential for themselves as well as for the University and thus the faculties.
Equal opportunities and diversity among medical and academic personnel are central issues to the Faculty of Medicine for ensuring excellent patient care, research and teaching.
Numerous instruments for equal treatment and gender justice have been developed and implemented in the last years. These include the mentoring programs and the Measures for Supporting Women on the Path to Habilitation.
